Club Hub

For a number of years, we ran a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program at our farm. Last year, we took a break from it to consider how better to offer our familiar fruits, vegetables, and herbs to the community.

This year, we’d like to welcome you to the Schoolhouse Farm Club Hub. We’ve put together a flexible CSA-style Food Club and Flower Club. Memberships for these clubs are pre-purchased and, in exchange, an abundance of food and/or flowers from our fields is returned to you during the spring, summer, and fall months.

Community is everything to us and we are thankful ours has been so supportive. Club members will have access to book our Club Hub space for hosting their own clubs, get togethers, or celebrations, in our efforts to play a part in contributing to the overall wellbeing of our members.

For Club memberships, full payment up front is appreciated, however we will accomodate a four-month payment plan if necessary: the first payment is due at the time of purchase, the second payment due on January 15, 2024, the third payment due on February 15, 2024, and the final payment due on March 15, 2024. Please email us at the above email address to make these payment arrangements and secure your Club membership today.

Club details can be found below, or we can be contacted by email with any additional questions.

Food Club: 21 week program

$630 (no tax)
We are offering a limited number of seasonal subscriptions for a weekly share of vegetables, fruits, and herbs grown at our farm for the months of June through October. All of our produce is no-spray, grown using regenerative, no-till techniques, except our garlic, which we till the ground for once a year. We ask that these subscriptions are prepaid as this assists us in purchasing items necessary for another successful farm season ahead of time; in turn you’ll receive your share of our harvest once our fields are producing.

We have 20 “Wednesday” memberships available and 20 “Saturday” memberships available. Pickup hours on Wednesdays are 3pm to 8pm and on Saturdays are 8am to noon. If you cannot pickup during these hours, please make arrangements for a family member or friend to pickup on your behalf, or we can donate your weekly share to a local family in need.

It is our intention to offer you fresh produce through a “points” system. We will assign each of our familiar vegetables, fruits, and herbs a point value, and you will be given a set number of points to “spend” each week. Our dedicated walk-in cooler will be fresh-stocked for your pickup, allowing you to fill your own bag or box in the most versatile way! Your spendable points will equate to a minimum value of $30 each week for a total of the 21 week program (June through October), which is how we have arrived at a cost of $630 per share for the season. Food Club members will be given first priority access to the items coming out of our fields, the excess of which will be sold through our farm store in the event you want to add on a few additional things.

You will also have access to our Buying Club, which will allow you to purchase items we’re not currently growing on our farm at cost (such as organic blueberries, raspberries, peaches, apples, apricots, pasture-raised, organic meat + eggs and more). We are open to suggestions of other things you would like us to bring in.

Flower Club: 26 week program

$520+ PST
We are offering a limited number of seasonal subscriptions for a weekly mixed bouquet of flowers grown at our farm during the months of May through October. Our flowers are no-spray, grown using regenerative, no-till techniques. We ask that our Flower Club subscriptions are prepaid as this assists us in purchasing items necessary for another successful floral season ahead of time; in turn you’ll receive your share of flowers once our fields are producing.

We have 10 “Wednesday” memberships available and 10 “Saturday” memberships available. Pickup hours on Wednesdays are 3pm to 8pm and on Saturdays are 8am to noon. If you cannot pickup during these hours, please make arrangements for a family member or friend to pickup on your behalf, or we can donate your weekly share to a local family or business who could use the pick-me-up.

Our bouquets will incorporate a variety of in-season blooms, greenery and other unique ingredients. Our dedicated walk-in cooler will house the freshly made arrangements, ready for your selection on your chosen pickup day. We will place the bouquets in jars to minimize our waste footprint, and ask that you return the jar each week when you pickup your next arrangement.

The bouquets will have a minimum value of $20 each week for a total of the 26 week program (May through October), which is how we have arrived at a cost of $520 per share for the season. Additional mixed bouquets will be available for purchase through our farm stand each week for a cost of $25, as well as straight bunches for $15, in the event you’d like to pick up some extra flowers.

Farm Club: work-trade program

FREE (work-trade)
This year, we are offering a Farm Club membership, which is a work-trade arrangement: individuals who sign up for Farm Club must commit to working a minimum of two hours per week at our farm (harvesting, weeding, transplanting, customer service, etc), in exchange for a Food Club or Flower Club share OR the spending equivalent in our farm store.

We have had a lot of people ask us about volunteering opportunities at our farm, wanting to learn skills or get their hands dirty, and Farm Club will allow them to do just that. The hours and tasks will be flexible, but we would prefer Farm Club members to commit for the growing season (May through October) so our community becomes autonomous. There will be the option to choose the same job week over week to build skills and independence.

Farm Club members will have access to an online spreadsheet where they can sign up for tasks ahead of time, and indicate the two-hour block of time they will work for. The days and times most needed will be Tuesday day and evening, Wednesday day and evening, Friday day and evening, and Saturday mornings. Sundays will not be available for volunteering as this is the day we hope to minimine our own workload.
